Figures and landscapes by ink wash paintings

I love to draw and paint figures, especially within just a few minutes. Within those moments, I feel I am present to the moments and I am so mindful. I feel happiness and peace during those minutes.

I appreciate the beauty of ink wash painting (East Asian type of brush painting). I use ink (often called sumi ink; Japanese) and brushes from Korea. The beauty of this style is that we can create variety of values, volume, texture, depth, darkness and etc with only one black ink by adjusting the concentration.

All these works are from live models. I don't do them by looking at photos because I feel that's not true art and just craft. Again, it's just my personal idea for my own works and just how I am approaching to my own art works.
